Schedule Templates — Closing a Specific Date

Use the "Close Date" widget on a Schedule Template to turn off a template's availability for a single day.

Definition

A Closed Date (aka Holiday Date, Exception Date) inside a Schedule Template is a specific calendar date on which the pantry will not permit appointments for this calendar, regardless of any appointments the template's span and blocks might create. (For instance, closing a specific Tuesday to match a staff holiday, while keeping the schedule otherwise open for subsequent Tuesdays)

Already Scheduled on the "Holiday"? Though selected dates will not be available for appointment scheduling on the calendar, any pre-existing appointments will remain scheduled.

Closing a Schedule Template Date

Perform the following steps to add a "Closed Date" to a specific template:

  1. Edit a Schedule Template
Go to (Setup->Schedule Templates) and edit your chosen template (pencil icon).

  2. Prepare a Closed Date
Click the calendar icon under Closed Dates to select a date you'd like to "close".

  3. Finalize/ Select a Closed Date
Once your date appears in the Closed Dates field, click the "+" symbol to add the closed date to the schedule template.

  4. Verify your Closed Date
Ensure a line item appears on the closed date list matching your closed date.

  5. Save and Exit
Don't forget to save and exit once you have added your closed date(s).

  6. (Optional) Verify the Closed Date
Now that you've closed your template for a specific calendar date, you can see that same date on the main calendar. Go to Pantry->Schedule Calendar to see the closure on the main calendar.
