Shopping for "PantrySoft Hardware"

PantrySoft is a browser app, meaning that it works inside your browser like any other web page. As such, it should work with most mainstream browsers on relatively recent hardware. Below we'll provide a brief recommendation for hardware and software

Purchase Recommendations:

Desktops and Laptops: Any laptop or desktop running a modern operating system (see Operating System: Computers below) should work just fine; it takes very little processing power to run a web browser. The sheer number of qualified laptops and desktops is so vast, you should buy something that matches your budget.

Bar Code Scanners: Use scanner with Bluetooth capability if you want it to interact with a tablet. Otherwise, the cheaper models work just fine. Visit this page for full details.

Printers: Any printer you can print to from your browser will work with PantrySoft. Our clients have reported using these receipt printers to print PantrySoft tickets. We have not personally vetted or tested any of these printers. Not all printers are compatible with mobile devices, or Apple devices. Confirm the printer documents compatibility with your device. We have also found that label printers do not always work with PantrySoft. Printing from PantrySoft is just printing from your browser. If the printer requires special printing software (like with many label printers) there may be compatibility issues.

Requirements:

Internet Connection

Ensure you can connect your device to an active internet service. If you are using a mobile device outside the range of your wifi, you can get a cellular enabled device, mobile hostspot device, or the hotspot feature on a cell phone.

PantrySoft works on any reasonably modern desktop, laptop, netbook, tablet, or other mobile device (see Operating System requirements below)

If you purchase an Amazon (Fire) tablet, you'll need to download Firefox, as Chrome is not advertised on their app store.
