Purchasing Text (SMS) Message Credits

This article explains how PantrySoft Admin Users can now purchase SMS Message credits within the application.

Designating a Billing Contact

To purchase text on demand within the app, you must designate a User as the "Billing Contact." Please complete the following form to designate one of your PantrySoft users for this role: Billing Contact Form

The PantrySoft Support team will then add the appropriate permissions to the User you designate on the above form. 

Purchase Message Credits 

1. The assigned User will then have access to the Message Purchase Center. 

2. That User can navigate to Setup > Message Purchase.

3. Select "Add New Purchase".

4. The Message Purchase Center Pop-Up will appear. Users can purchase between 500 ($10 worth) and 15,000 ($300 worth) SMS messages at one time.

If more SMS credits are needed, Users can complete a second purchase immediately. 

6. Select an option for payment—either Pay Now or Pay Later

Selecting Pay Now:

Users can either select "Purchase and Update" or "Purchase" to be directed to Pantrysoft.com, where they can complete their transaction, as well as update their billing information. The SMS credits will be available for immediate use.

Selecting Pay Later:

The PantrySoft billing team will receive a notification and will reach out to the organization's Billing Contact with an invoice. The SMS credits will be available for immediate use. 

 

Note on character count: The industry regulates a single SMS send to a standard character limit of 160 characters, and each actual message you send, regardless of length, has a menu blurb taking up a certain count of characters (i.e. "Reply STOP to unsubscribe..."). So please be aware that if your overall message exceeds 160 characters, each message could count as 2 or even 3 messages apiece.
