The following updates have been made to the PantrySoft System to give users more flexibility and control over reporting preferences and improved feedback on date input.

New Features

Reporting Preferences

New settings have been added to give users more control over reporting preferences regarding Household Members and Visits. Tippies Screenshot of a dark blue circle with a white "i" in the center, known in PantrySoft as a tippy at each setting provide additional information on the setting dropdown options. 

How to access:
 Setup > Visit Settings > Reporting Preferences

Preferred Style of Member Tenure in Reporting offers options how Household Members are considered in Reports.

Options:

  • Same Day as Visit Creation: Member is present at any time on the day the Visit was created (This is a system-created date and time and cannot be changed)
  • Same Day as VisitDateTime: Member is present at the exact second of the visit date and time
  • Same Second as Visit Creation: Member is present at the exact second of the visit creation (This is a system-created date and time and cannot be changed)
  • Same Second as VisitDate Time: Member is present at the exact second of the visit date and time

Default First Visit Definition offers options for how Reports should consider the Client's "First" visit.

Options:

  • First Ever: First visit ever to your location
  • First Seasonal: First visit since a given start date. If the report has an option for a seasonal start date picker, a visit only counts as a client's "first" if it happened on or after that date
  • First Ever and Coincident with Client Creation: A visit counts as "first" only if it happened on the same date the client record was created. This is useful if you imported clients but not their visits. A client genuinely new to you will have a creation date that matches their first visit date, while imported clients won't; so this option screens those out. Only reliable if your client since dates are accurate
  • First Seasonal and Coincident with Client Creation: A visit counts as "first" if it happened on or after the date you choose and happened on the same date the client record was created. 

PLEASE NOTE:

Support for these settings are gradually being rolled into PantrySoft, so every Report may not respect these settings at this time. 

Enhancements & Improvements

Improved feedback for incorrect date input. When an incorrectly formatted birthdate is entered, you will now receive a warning before you navigate away from the birthdate field.

 Notes:
This is currently only available for date fields, not datetime fields.
